Recorded at Darbar Festival 2013
A short film exploring the concept of sadhana. “Everything has to go through that sadhana phase, otherwise you can never achieve anything”. (Anupama Bhagwat)
Three disparate musicians come together to perform their spiritually-centred art forms at the Darbar Festival 2013. Sadhana, which means ‘disciplined and dedicated practice or learning, especially in religion or music’ follows their preparations for their performances at the Darbar Festival. This piece illustrates the success of a musician, which can take a lifetime of uncertainty to achieve and balances purely on one thing: hope.
Based in London, social documentary photographer and filmmaker Rehmat Rayatt grew up in rural Essex. Her work has been shown, to critical acclaim throughout the UK, as well as online and in print.
