Accompanied by Giridhar Udupa on ghatam and Jayachandra Rao on mridangam, she presented a repertoire that included the ragas Pantuvarali, Sriranjani, Kamas, and Kantamani. Her deep-rooted musical lineage and decades of dedication have established her as a leading figure in Carnatic classical music. Beginning her veena journey at the tender age of three under the guidance of her mother, Lalgudi Rajalakshmi, and later honing her skills with her aunt, Padmavathy Ananthagopalan, Dr. Kumaresh has developed a distinctive style that seamlessly blends tradition with innovation. Her performances are renowned for their technical brilliance and emotive depth, transporting audiences into the rich tapestry of South Indian classical music. The Darbar Festival, held at London's Barbican Centre from October 24 to 27, 2024, celebrated its 19th year by showcasing a blend of emerging talents and seasoned maestros. Dr. Kumaresh's recital stood out as a highlight, offering listeners an immersive experience into the nuanced world of Carnatic ragas.
