Born in Sangli, a region known as the sugar bowl of India, Manjiri Asnare-Kelkar was surrounded by music from her childhood. Her outstanding command over rare ragas and expansive melodic and rhythmic imagination are the outcome of a refined grooming in a family surrounded by musicians.
